my gloves

Well!! Joy to the world, I finished one glove! Am very proud because it turned out half decent and I don't have to be all prtective of it. Like, I actually wear it and abuse, use and..schmooz it. It's just so cool. But, It doesn't fit quite right. There are some alterations which I feel should be made. I'm not sure whether I should just make another not quite fitting glove, or make one which does fit, and make a replacement for this one. They are fun to make, like, quite interesting, it's not as if you're just knit knit knit knit knitting the whole time. You have to do little increases and change colour and stuf. It's quick and easy, but...Keeps me interested.
Am going out today, with my best friend. We plan to see Spiderman 2. It better be good. I don't want to waste a hundred million dollars on seeing a shit film. Though, you know what was a really good movie? Or, I thgouht it was anyways, "The Day After Tomorrow", with the storms and global warming and stuff. It actually seemed well researched, like, effort had been put in to make sure the plot was at least beliveable..Unlike such sad and shit movies like "Daredevil"..What a waste of time that was. They made Colin Farrel look liie a wanker, aussi!
Oui, oui, je almost forgot! Je parle Francais...petit. I'm learning. At school. But, I like it. And, sadly, I've started weaving it into daily speach. Like, aussi thatmeans "also". Parler is the verb "to speak". Je is moi, ou me :P
Ah well, have fun, people.
I'm off to see the wizard, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz!
(Does anyone know what time zone I'm in? I'm in Australia, if that helps?)

Congratulations on your glove! Now I do admit to being a bit tetched in the head, but I like the idea of making each glove a bit different. If the pattern works for either hand, make several gloves and then you never need to find a given pair. If you wear a hole in one, you don't need to darn it that day.

Wow, I've never seen that pattern before but right now I'm in the midst of something quite similar, albeit top-down. Did you try the double-knitting? Purling every round is really pretty enjoyable, though I have no idea how to do inside-out increases.

Re: (two posts back) I don't know how the spiffy progress little bars are done. I just do text % and then neglect any updating. *g*

Yeah...I like to wear odd and mismatching things! Whatever I did, the next glove was going to not match the first, like, colour and pattern wise, but wasnt sure with sizing...Hmm...I think I'll make a good fitting one this time!

Oh..Didn't read through that properly. I didn't try the double knit, I don't know how. I just put the stitches on two needles and knit them with another. So, only three needles.
If you want the progess things which I now have, just click on the "Works in Progess" link above them to get your own. They're pretty cool, eh?
